Progress - Day 175
We were pretty sure we would be moving home tonight but to no avail...
We had a reasonable "to-do" list in order to have the house move in ready - seal bathroom tile, caulk bathroom, paint bathroom trim, paint doors, install tub, sink and toilet - but everything took a lot longer than we thought.
Saturday it took the majority of the day to seal the tile, caulk the bathroom, paint the bathroom pipe and move the tub upstairs.
Sunday we were still optimistic, Dave even packed up all of our clothing. But after Dave and dad spent six hours fighting to install the bathtub drain, faucet and shower enclosure, we had to admit defeat. The shower is still not operational so we are forced to wait a few more days...
However, thanks to a helping hand from Shane and Christine, we were able to get our bedroom furniture moved in. It is surreal to see the house starting to look like a home.

After months of dreaming, it is finally official! We have tickets in hand! We are going to Nepal!
We will fly to Delhi via Beijing before flying on to Kathmandu. On the way back we are planning to spend a couple days in Delhi and the possibly the Andaman Islands.
Let the count down begin!

Bedroom Lighting
After a long search we thought we had finally decided on a ceiling fan for the master bedroom... the Highpointe fan from Emerson Electric.
That was until we found out it was going to cost $510!
We are more than willing to splurge on lighting but for some reason we just could not justify spending that much money on a ceiling fan. It was still just a ceiling fan after all... and we were not convinced it would actually provide the proper level of light for our room.
So back to the drawing board (or the lighting store) we went and after several days of searching we eventually settled on a simple white linen drum fixture from Maxilite - a Canadian company to boot!
Now I only have pick a light for the dinning room but thankfully that one can wait since I am sick of lighting stores for the time being. Shopping for lighting is a pain in the neck - literally!
