Not Jersey the dog - rest assured she did not go anywhere - but Jersey the painting. The portrait of Jersey we had done by local artist Caroline Stanley.
We first met Caroline in 2007 when she was a student at ACAD and posted a sign in our local dog park looking for subjects for her final project - "Dogality". We jumped at the chance to get a painting of Scout. We contacted her again last year because we decided it was time that we had a painting of Jersey too.
I love how she used the bright colours to express their individual personalities - oranges and yellows for Scout and green with hints of pink for Jersey. I think the paintings perfectly capture Scout's serious, thoughtful nature and Jersey's happy-go-lucky spunk.
Now I just have to decide where I am going to hang them...
